2019 Conference Call for Session Proposals

Theme:  Becoming Storytellers
Date:  October 6-7-8, 2019
Place: Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge, Iowa

Proposals are now being accepted for sessions during the 2019 Iowa Museum Association Annual Meeting and Conference. Session proposals may focus on the conference theme or on other topics of interest to the museum community. 

There are 4 tracks at the 2019 Iowa Museum Association Conference:
   Leadership       Education        Collections       Exhibits

To propose a session for consideration, provide a paragraph description of the proposed session and the learning objective for the session.

Monday breakout sessions are typically one hour. 

Tuesday morning breakout sessions will be 30 minute power sessions, and speakers will be required to present their session twice Tuesday morning.

If your proposal is for a roundtable or panel, please include names and titles of all participants. 

Please indicate your presentation format (lecture, power point, hands-on, round table, poster session, etc.), and any hardware required that you cannot furnish.  

Proposals may be submitted via e-mail to Cyndi Sweet, Executive Director, Iowa Museum Association at Director@iowamusems.org – deadline for submissions is March 29, 2019.  

Accepted proposals will be notified in April 2019.

Breakout session speakers are not paid.  Speakers wishing to attend conference sessions other than their own must register for the conference.
