The Iowa Museum Association annually holds a statewide conference to provide professional development and networking opportunities. The Annual Meeting of the Iowa Museum Association is also held during the annual conference, which moves around the state.

Community Partners: Quad Cities Museums
Conferences, convenings, workshops, and other events planned for 2020 have been canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Iowa Museum Association (IMA) is likewise transitioning from an in-person conference to its first-ever virtual conference. To accommodate a new format, the conference dates will shift from Sunday-Monday-Tuesday, to Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, October 19-20-21, 2020.
The conference format is still evolving, but will include a mix of live presentations, group discussions, recorded sessions, and social events. The conference will include a virtual exhibitor hall and sponsors.
Refund Policy: Registration fees are 100% refundable if requested in writing (via email) by Friday, September 25. There will be no refunds after September 25, 2020.
Annual Meeting: The Annual Meeting of the members of the Iowa Museum Association will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 2:45 p.m. via zoom, during the annual conference. The agenda will include reports and board elections. Questions? Director@iowamuseums.org
